Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster [Album Artwork]This has to be the hardest graphic I've created this year. This is an album cover for Lady Gaga's EP, The Fame Monster.
One of the hardest parts of the graphic is the colors. I didn't really have a concept, but as I was playing around with brushes, this came together and I loved it. The artwork also involved extracting, which took a little over an hour. Her hair was everywhere, and I managed to extract it pretty neat. I thought that a colored image of Gaga wouldn't work so well, so I desaturated it to match the whole vibe of what I was going for.
Another hard part of it was the text. Having plain-colored text looked horrendous, so I had to do over 10 layers of text just to make it look like there's an effect on the text.
As a whole, I'm very proud of this.Nov 22, 2009
